Press Machine Operator - Automatic Press
Salary: up to AED 2,800 based on experience
Location: Hamriyah Freezone, Sharjah
Our Client is the largest UK manufacturer of Ductwork Jointing Systems & Components, supplying flange systems suiting all HVAC needs and providing the lowest air leakage levels.
As part of the global manufacturing group, their extensive range of HVAC accessories include, corners, clamps and gaskets. Coupled with their successful Wire Rope Suspension System, they’ve got it covered!
Products are available direct or through worldwide distributors and also their factory in the UAE.
Their roll forming experience enables them to offer roller shutter door profiles and accessories, also traditional, flat and insulated lath are available cut to length to save you time. With the Specialised Engineering Services Division, profiles and pressed components are manufactured to customer designs and specifications.
Expertise in building machinery and tooling they can produce simple cut to length lines to fully integrated rolling machines.
We are seeking highly talented Press Machine Operators to join the team
Key role is to effectively operate the production facility to meet planning / management requirements in a safe manner in line with the organisation’s goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
• Implementation of the objectives set by management
• Uphold the company’s values of safety, quality and performance.
• Operate plant and machinery according to directions given in the production plan.
• Create and maintain accurate records relating to activity during your shift.
• Effectively relay relevant information to colleagues and line Supervisor.
• Actively participate in any continuous improvement activities.
• Assist in troubleshooting activities.
• Coaching other employees in developing their skills and knowledge.
• Providing support and guidance on work related procedures or policies.
• Actively participate in meetings and training sessions.
• Demonstrate good housekeeping practices.
• Apply best practice standards in areas of HS&E, quality, standard operating procedures and job safety analysis.
• Proactively identify and make recommendations for improvements in all relevant areas of the business.
• Ensure provided PPE is maintained and used as prescribed, replenishing as necessary.
• Any other duties as required by the management team.
Daily Duties
• Perform pre-start up machine checks
• Operate plant and machinery to Production plan
• Perform quality checks as per quality procedure.
• Monitor daily throughput of machinery (actual vs plan including setting times vs targets)
• Record Production, OEE and quality data
• Report any problems or issues to your line Foreman.
• Ensure 5S standards are upheld and machinery is left clean and serviceable.
Tooling Knowledge.
• Good organisational skills. Weekly Duties
• 5S activities for 1 hour extra cleaning on a Thursday afternoon.
• Provide training and guidance to employees to enable their development.
• Take part in problem solving activities.
Carry out maintenance duties i.e.:
• Operator maintenance and checks (TPM)
• Painting of floors in Production area
• Machine painting
• Light building upkeep.

Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years hands on experience.
• Understanding of H&S requirements in a manufacturing environment
• Practical ability in setting and operating press machinery, as well as associated checks.
• Application of problem solving techniques in real world situations
• Good communication skills.
• Experience in operating and inspection of press machine.
• Press Tool Knowledge and Repairs.
• Ability to work under pressure meeting required targets.
• Basics of Tool Room machines and its operations.
• Excellent Physically condition
• Disciplined personality in works location and documentation.
• Literacy and numeracy to NTTF / Fitter or Tooling ITI
