Principal Big Data Platform Architect

Job description / Role

We are currently recruiting a Principal Big Data Platform Architect in Dubai on a 12 month renewable contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved working on strategic and extremely important projects with high value business impact.

We need professionals that can contribute to the development and maintenance of Architecture Guiding Principles, drawing on architectural knowledge and experience. Lead the development and documentation of architectural patterns and solution designs for use in solutions. Provide expert consultancy and coaching on these to project teams.

Requirements

Applications are sought from those with the following experience;

• Degree or Honors in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent IT related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 10+ Years of Experience in Architecture and Cyber Security
• Knowledge of Six Sigma or Green Belt Certified
• Big Data Platform - Cloudera CDH, Kafka, Elasticsearch
• Security implementation experience (kerberization, Sentry, XPack, etc.)
• Hands on work with cloud deployments on Azure, strong expertise with cloud infrastructure and security components
• Automation, Linux scripting, infrastructure as code, virtualization/containerization, CI/CD
• Excellent command of the English language
