Job description / Role
Principal Consultant - VMware
Responsibilities:
• Ability to lead, and own projects related to Implementation and Migrations of Production assets in the IT Enterprise Infrastructure. VMware Support 4.x and 5.x and Upgrade to 6.0 and further
• Engineering and administrative experience related to supporting a fault-tolerant implementation.
• Installation and configuration of the ESXi Host in the Enterprise Infrastructure.
• Server consolidation experience as sizing, migrations, resource utilization, etc., P2V, V-Motion.
• Providing support in Performance Monitoring, back-ups, reporting, Root Cause Analysis, and resolution for VMware Environments.
• Excellent understanding of ESXi network connectivity and the aspects related to vSwitch, vDS, Port Groups, VLAN tagging, NIC teaming etc.
• Hybrid cloud deployment/VMware migration to cloud, should be hands on VSAN,VSR,NSX,HCX,(Public cloud), vSphere replication ( HCX is not a single product, but a combination of multiple VMware products which will be available is a single solution.)
• High degree of proficiency related to storage operations in VMware is mandatory
• Conduct pre-sales and technical discussion with clients
• Should lead technical delivery team based in Remote location
• Lead VMware partnership program for the Company
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Min 6 years related experience
• BS Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or other technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience with the design, build, and support of a complex VMWare environment
• VCIX6-NV and VCIX6-DVC certifications are required or equivalent experience
• VRA and vRO implementation experience or equivalent certification is a plus
