Principal Electrical Engineer

Job description / Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join an international architecture and engineering consultancy in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading electrical design for HVAC systems across a range of building typologies within multidisciplinary consultancy or MEP consultancy environments.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the electrical design of HVAC systems for diverse building projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers.
- Oversee project deliverables, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver exceptional service.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and best practices to continuously improve our design processes.

To be considered for the role, candidates must have:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 15+ years of experience within electrical engineering design
- Extensive experience within a multidisciplinary or MEP consultancy, with a focus on HVAC system design.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems in various building typologies (e.g., commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality)
- Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design calculation tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Middle East experience is highly desirable, but strong candidates without regional experience will also be considered.
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) is an advantage.

Salary:
AED 40,000 to 45,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
