Principal Risk and Safety Consultant

Reporting to: Associate Director

The applicants for this job will have to possess technical and managerial leadership skills with respect to safety and risk engineering for the oil and gas sector, petrochemical industries, aviation section and infrastructure/construction section. Assertive business development skills are a must for this job thus promoting the business and its services to new key clients. The selected candidate will be assigned to major projects and will be expected to take on the role of Project Manager for technical Safety & Risk and HSE studies.

Candidates should have experience in:
- Conducting hazard identification and risk assessment workshops (HAZID, HAZOP, HEMP, SIMOPS, PHSER, SIL)
- Mentoring and leading the team with risk assessment modelling by using software tools like PHAST, PHASTRISK, exSILentia, THESIS, PHAPRO, PHAWORKS
- Conducting the actual risk assessment studies
- Delivering ALARP demonstration studies
- Generating and developing Safety Cases, Fire Risk Assessment, loss prevention studies,
- Preparing and reviewing technical documents, engineering documentation, etc.

Requirements

Candidates must have the following to be considered for the role: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the risk and safety/process safety field in the Middle East, chaired workshops with ADNOC, degree qualified in an Engineering discipline, extensive oil and gas industry experience, willingness to travel overseas, HSE Consultancy and business development background.
