Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose:
* To conduct monthly Trade Surveillance activity in line with the requirements set out in the Trade Surveillance guide for Private Bank UAE
* To undertake Compliance monitoring activities within the Private Bank as prescribed within the Compliance Monitoring plan
* To ensure any issues identified are recorded under Group Monitoring tracking and correctly escalated and tracked to conclusion
* To advise on review and approved new accounts and Periodic reviews in line with the requirements set out in the Private Bank CDD Procedures ( Back up function)

The role supports Private Bank Head of Compliance to perform interpretive risk based compliance reviews to obtain assurance as to compliance with regulatory requirements and Key Control Standards and to undertake Compliance monitoring in line with agreed timeframes
* To undertake Trade surveillance monitoring activities
* To undertake Compliance monitoring activities as per the Group Compliance monitoring plan
* To produce formal reports for submission to Head of Compliance, Risk Committees and other key stakeholders. To escalate issues identified to Head of Compliance in accordance with methodology in the Trade surveillance guide as well as the scope of the respective Compliance monitoring review
* To undertake root cause analysis on issues identified through above monitoring activities and ensure that any remediation and broader procedural changes that may be proposed are implemented within the stipulated time frames
* To assist with the ongoing Risk Assessment process under the major Compliance themes
* To act as Dormant account custodian / backup

Requirements

* In depth understanding of PvB and local Policies and Procedures
* In depth understanding of local and international regulation
* In depth understanding of the Private Bank organisation, business and their interlinkages
* Understanding of regulatory requirements and internal procedures and how they inter relate
