A Private Debt Associate position has opened up in the Banking & Financial Services sector, where the successful candidate will be responsible for managing debt portfolios and providing financial guidance. This role requires deep knowledge of financial markets and strong analytical skills.
Client Details:
- The client is a newly formed investment manager in Abu Dhabi, which is co-investing with SWFs and Pension Funds internationally across sectors.
Description:
- As a Private Debt Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the team in sourcing, underwriting, and managing private debt investments. Your responsibilities will include:
- Investment Analysis & Due Diligence: Assisting with the analysis of investment opportunities, conducting financial modeling, and performing detailed due diligence on potential borrowers.
- Deal Execution: Supporting the structuring and negotiation of debt transactions, and helping to prepare investment materials, term sheets, and presentations.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Assisting in monitoring the performance of existing portfolio investments, including reporting on key financial metrics and credit performance.
- Market Research & Reporting: Conducting research on market trends, industry dynamics, and competitors to support investment decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including senior management, portfolio managers, and legal teams.

Requirements:
- Experience: At least 2-4 years of experience in private debt, private credit or leveraged finance
- Skills: Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of debt instruments and credit markets.
- Education: A degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field. A CFA or similar qualification would be advantageous.
- Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills. A team-oriented mindset is essential.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling tools. Knowledge of financial databases and deal management systems is a plus.
