Procurement Coordinator

Job description / Role

Procurement Coordinator, Reporting to Executive – Procurement and Contracts, is responsible for administering day to day tasks related to purchasing, supplier administration and evaluation and invoice management

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Executes all procurement tasks such as defining requirements, contacting suppliers, getting quotations, negotiating and evaluating
- Creates and issues Purchase Orders
- Managing all related documentation from procure to pay
- Assists the line manager in executing policies and department strategies
- Assists in implementing the centralized procurement function in the company
- Prepares, maintains and distributes various reports (such as spend analysis) for the team and management
- Contributes with ideas to implement cost saving opportunities
- Assists in vendor evaluations, pre-qualifications and selections
- Becomes the SPOC for the procurement team working hand-in-hand with the IT team during and after the implementation of the e-Procurement System and a Contract Management System for the department
- Becomes the procurement application expert and super user
- Assists in development of RFQs and RFP, tenders and internal coordination
- Assists with external communications with suppliers

Requirements

- University Degree, preferably in a related discipline
- 3 years of strong indirect procurement experience with focus on implementing best practices
- Oracle e-Procurement / SAP Ariba experience
- Supplier management experience

- Result Oriented

Competencies:
- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Language: English
