Procurement Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process for our utility water and power projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services while maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project goals and company policies.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to understand material and equipment requirements.
- Manage purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and resolve any procurement-related issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards in all procurement activities.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare regular reports on procurement status and performance.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain and procurement processes.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer, preferably in the utility water and power sector.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements in the UAE.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in procurement software and MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- preferred having a Sales background too
- at least 3 to 5 years UAE experience
- Preferably having a valid UAE driving licence
