Procurement Manager

Job description / Role

A leading international subcontractor for the construction industry is currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join their team in the UAE.

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Ensuring that the company obtains quality goods and services for competitive prices in a timely fashion.
- Formulate and manage a strategic approach towards all 3rd party sourcing, purchasing and tendering.
- Ensure that value for money is maximized and cost savings are generated across the company.
- Effectively manage and evaluate suppliers.
- Manage, examine and test supplier contracts.
- Identify and research new suppliers.
- Control spend and build a culture of long term saving on procurement costs.
- Perform risk management for supply contracts.

Requirements

- Bachelors degree, preferably supply chain management, logistics, business management or engineering.
- Previous experience as a procurement manager or procurement officer.
- Experience in collecting and analysing data.
- Negotiation and decision making skills.
- Interpersonal skills and a good communicator.
- Excellent command of English.
