Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Ensure cost-effective purchasing of all materials and services as required by the procurement plan whilst ensuring quality control and compliance with the policies and procedures. Identify potential supplier sources, screening them and negotiating favorable payment terms. Monitor supplier performance and ensuring contractual obligations are met. Provide detailed information about school spending and adhere to departments budget.

Lead the team of stores employees to receive and record new stock as its delivered and dispatched. Develop a comprehensive stock plan that meets the school requirements. Ensure ideal levels of inventory in the stores. Implement and manage procedures to optimize inventory control.

Core Responsibilities:
- Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Approve the ordering of necessary materials and services
- Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
- Examine and test existing contracts
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Liaises with schools to determine their needs
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations
- Prepare control strategies
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
- Control spending and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
- Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing materials or services and maintaining stock levels
- Meet budgetary requirements
- Plan, implement and manage procedures to optimize inventory control
- Identify stock shortages and act in a timely manner
- Suggest solutions for continuous improvements
- Analyse data to anticipate future needs
- Provide Management with appropriate reporting for purchases and stock levels

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or other equivalent degree
- MBA (Preferable)

Professional Qualifications:
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (preferable)

Experience:
- Managerial level with more than 7 years of experience in the areas of supply chain, purchasing and inventory management

Other requirements:
- Negotiation skills
- Leadership skills
- Data analysis
- Presentation and communication skills
- Microsoft Office solid knowledge and experience especially Excel
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Excellent command of English (written and verbal)
