Description

Procurement manager will oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely acquisition of quality materials and services at competitive prices to support our project goals and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines, scopes of work, and budget constraints.
• Manage and coordinate the full tendering process, including preparation of tender packages, bidder communication, clarification management, tender evaluations, and recommendations for award.
• Build and maintain strong supplier and subcontractor relationships to ensure reliability, quality delivery, and competitive pricing.
• Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and service agreements to secure advantageous conditions for the company.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, commercial teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities fully support project requirements.
• Monitor market trends, material prices, and supply chain conditions; assess and onboard new suppliers to enhance procurement efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records, comparison sheets, reports, and documentation to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual standards, legal regulations, and safety requirements across all procurement activities.
• Track procurement schedules and long-lead items, proactively mitigating delays and risks.
• Promote transparency and adherence to internal governance throughout all procurement and contracting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in main contractor companies (minimum 5 years) as a procurement manager.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and market dynamics in UAE.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with demonstrated ability to build strong supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Currently based in UAE and familiarity with UAE supplier market and rates.
• 10+ years UAE experience in particularly high rise building projects.
