Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Role Purpose

Source and manage Marketing Materials & Goods and Services i.e. BTL Advertising Agencies, Design and Artwork Studios, Promoter Personnel, Fabrication/ Print/ Adverting Items Suppliers.

Accountabilities

Procurement Leadership
· Communication and coordination of all procurement activities for marketing materials and services in the region (incl. Kingdom of Saudi-Arabia, Egypt, Morocco & Pakistan), including BTL Agencies and Digital Media (excl. Media Procurement).
· Represent Marketing Goods and Services procurement of the region and build a network with local demand owners and ensure their participation in regional and global procurement initiatives. Actively participate in the Global Procurement Network by sharing best practices and feed in supply market knowledge.
· Source Marketing Goods of various types (i.e. Display Stands, Printed Materials, Shrink sleeves, Activations, Merchandisers etc.) for advertising purposes, getting the best price, quality and timing to suit the business needs and market trends; using technical print knowledge, advice internal customers as to colors, materials and type of print.
· Establish dashboard of costs (i.e. Price List) and identify areas of cost savings, sourcing alternative suppliers where significant savings can be made.
· Have a good knowledge of supplier pool for marketing goods and services in Middle East, KSA, Egypt, Morocco (pref) & Pakistan
· Single Point of contact interfacing with Egypt & KSA budget owners.

Strategy Implementation
· Actively support the implementation of the Beiersdorf ME Supply Chain Strategy as well as the Global Procurement Strategy locally.
· Develop and Execute all category relevant strategies in the MU by also executing Global Category Strategies where applicable
· Ensure local competition in the supply market and the continuous improvement of the local procurement terms and conditions as well as for local supplier management initiatives.

Negotiating and monitoring Local Procurement Conditions
· Negotiate local Supply Agreements in regards to all operative / strategic procurement activities and local conditions with suppliers (TCO, payment terms, Incoterms etc.)
· Strong negotiation skills along with the ability to manage complex negotiations.
· Conduct and maintain local Supply Agreements by also using the Corporate Contracting Systems (Spider).
· Understanding of overarching terms and conditions in a contract.

Governance, Processes, Methods and Systems
· Ensure compliance of procurement related processes, methods and systems with procurement standards (e.g. procurement hand book, compliance one pager, ethical code of procurement, supplier CoC) for the Marketing MU Spend by implementing these standards and defining affiliate specific guidelines and principles if necessary.
· Continuous improvement of the procurement processes and methods in cooperation with regional and global procurement.
· Working knowledge of SAP is required, knowledge of ARIBA will be an added advantage.

Supplier Management
· Identify, Qualify, Manage, evaluate category specific key suppliers.
· Implement a continuous improvement cycle to realize continuous year to year improvements and cost savings.
· Yearly supplier reviews.

The post holder will carry out any other duties, which are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the Line Manager. If duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and amended in consultation with the post holder.

Education
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University with Focus on Business, Commerce, Supply Chain or Marketing preferred

Experience
· A minimum of 5-7 years commercial experience in a relevant role

Language
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are mandatory. Arabic and French is an advantage

PC/IT
· High proficiency in MS Office applications & SAP. Proficiency in ARIBA desirable.

Skills
· BTL procurement experience is a must
· Strong communicating, influencing, networking, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
· An up-to-date knowledge of packaging legislation, regulatory requirements and the related production procedures.
· General knowledge of Marketing Areas (Idea Generation, Visualizing, Design, Copywriting, Art Direction, Photography, Digital Artwork (DTP) preparation etc.) desirable.
· Technical product and production system experience
