Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A global Facilities Management provider is looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team in Dubai.

Responsibilities:
• Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policy and procedures, monitoring and overseeing Corporate procurement practices.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in procurement related-processes and practices to improve efficiency and enhance effectiveness.
• Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
• Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
• Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
• Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents.
• Adds new items to Item Asset Master Register.
• Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analysing, and summarising data and trends. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Required to work hours to meet operational needs.
• Maintain the stores in the Centre of Excellence.
• Any new requirement needs to be checked first in the main store. If the material is available then that needs to be distribute first to site and the stock needs to be verified again.
• Ensure purchase order terms and conditions are maintained with compliance.
• Perform market research and assist staff in locating/obtaining qualified vendors. Screen selected vendors to determine required qualifications.
• Responsible for identifying potential local suppliers/manufacturers, developing business relationships, analysing and negotiating on received quotations from the suppliers and preparing price comparison data for obtaining management approval.
• Create and maintain inventory of all incoming and current supplies and carry out stores audit.
• Work effectively with coworkers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the field of Procurement and Supply Chain.
• Must have a recognized University degree or College diploma in Engineering / Business Administration specializing in Purchasing or a related field.
• Must have UAE driving license.
