Procurement Officer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to join our dynamic construction team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will manage purchasing activities efficiently, ensuring timely acquisition of quality materials and services to support our projects while optimizing costs.

Responsibilities:
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and quality for construction materials and services.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documents in compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with project managers and site teams to understand procurement needs and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and supplier communications.
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate future procurement requirements to avoid delays.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company standards in all procurement activities.
- Evaluate supplier performance and foster strong vendor relationships for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, negotiation techniques, and supplier management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze market trends and adapt procurement strategies accordingly.
- Understanding of UAE procurement regulations and construction industry standards is a plus.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
