Procurement Officer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to join our construction team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services critical to our projects' success.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support construction projects.
- Source and evaluate suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and reliable quality.
- Manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Coordinate with project managers and other departments to forecast material needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value.
- Resolve supplier disputes and ensure timely delivery of materials.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field minimum 3 years exp in UAE
- Proven experience in procurement within the construction industry is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
- Ability to analyze market trends and supplier capabilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
