Procurement Officer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to join our civil construction team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will manage purchasing activities to ensure timely acquisition of materials and services, supporting project timelines and budget requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead, and execute procurement strategies for construction materials and services.
- Conduct supplier research and evaluation to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable contracts.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers to forecast material requirements.
- Manage purchase orders, contracts, and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and report on procurement activities to management.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Civil Engineering
- Proven experience in procurement within the civil construction industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient with procurement software and MS Office suite.
- Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment in Abu Dhabi.
