Context
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Officer to join our Capex Delivery Department at Magma, Al Ruwais, UAE, a hazardous waste treatment company operated by Veolia UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring goods, materials, and services.
Job Description
Main Accountabilities:
- Sourcing and evaluating potential suppliers
- Negotiating prices, terms, and contracts
- Placing and tracking purchase orders
- Maintaining relationships with vendors
- Monitoring inventory levels
- Ensuring quality standards are met
- Analyzing market trends and pricing
- Managing procurement documentation
- Coordinating with internal departments
- Ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Resolving supplier issues and discrepancies
- Following procurement policies and procedures
- Maintaining accurate records
- Forecasting future purchasing needs
- Ensure that all internal reporting is performed promptly and accurately.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the department head.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field
- 2-5 years procurement experience
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in procurement software
- Knowledge of supply chain management Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel between multiple sites if required
- Valid driver's license (manual gearbox)
