Job description / Role
A Manufacturing and Production business is seeking an Procurement Officer - UAE National.
The role is to be based in Abu Dhabi.
The Responsbilities of the Procurement Officer would:
* Analyse and evaluate purchase requisitions to ensure completeness of Purchasing Contract Services
* Carries out independent procurement activities (source, selection, tender preparation, technical and commercial evaluation of bids, purchase order / contract placement etc.) and ensures cost effective and timely delivery of products or services to the correct specification, meeting plants quality, technical and environmental requirement
* Negotiates best possible deals with selected vendors in terms of price and delivery to reduce the risk
* Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities within the Supply Chain process
* Complies with Environment Health Safety policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
* Supports and contributes to ensure required approvals are obtained from all parties prior to awarding a contract
Requirements
* Minimum of 1 year experience in Procurement/ Purchasing/Contracts
* Only UAE Nationals to be considered for this role - in accordance to the Localization targets
* Excellent negotiation and communications skills
* Must have a Bachelor's degree and preferably in IT
