POSITION TYPE: Staff

PRIMARY DEPARTMENT: Contracts & Procurement
REPORTS TO: Contracts & Procurement Director
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide the University with support to achieve a reliable, timely and cost effective procurement, control and stores service to meet user department’s work programs and requirements.
CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS:
- Ensures the integrity of all purchasing and procurement activities and that very tight timelines are met.
- Provides efficient and cost-effective services, demonstrating a capable, expeditious and creative response to changing needs.
- Ascertains that the purchasing process adheres to the university policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must possess a Bachelor Degree in business or any related major (business administration, finance, accounting, business management, etc) from an accredited institution with a minimum of 4 years experience in Procurement, control and distribution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrate a high command of both Arabic and English language
- Extensive experience in dealing with vendors, suppliers, contractors and consultants.
- Working knowledge of purchasing procedures and Government Laws.
- Computer literacy and a good knowledge of standard office software.
