Job description / Role

Responsibilities:

- Produce targeted number of assigned programs in agreed timeframe and budget & in accordance with Editorial Policies and guidelines
- Improve the audience satisfaction rating for news compared to competitors
- Ensure that news reports are of high editorial & technical quality
- Improve all production delivery across assigned programs
- Lead the production of the assigned stories/reports with the assigned writers/reporters
- Work closely with writer/reporters and brief them about what they need to produce the reports, review it and ensure it is ready
- Coordinate all related to guest appearing in the assigned program in terms of initial contact, interview angle discussions, logistics, and brief presenters about guest
- Brief Studio Directors about the news content, look & technical requirements
- Monitor the live production of the program and act if any-problem occurs
- Handle news / unforeseen events
- Ensure standards are strictly being adhered
- Be available and flexible in duty hours in case of breaking news and special coverages.
- Perform other tasks or duties as and when required

Requirements

Requirements:

- Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written)
- Seven years of experience
- Experience in Media and TV & News production
- Experience in production process from origination of idea to transmission
- Experience as Broadcast Journalist
- Experience in Media and News production in International Newsroom
- Understand and be familiar with the latest broadcast technology.
- Familiarity with studio and gallery discipline.
- Experience directly related to the functions, duties and responsibilities specified

Technical Skills in:

- Familiarization with software like iNews, Media Browse or other software that may come up in future
