Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity. Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
- Prepare lists of required materials required against a shop order to manufacture the product.
- Prepare purchase orders to obtain the materials required to manufacture the product
- Follow-up with the vendor for the material delivery and update in the system according to the update from the vendor.
- Prepare and release of the shop orders (or) work orders to the shop floor.
- Monitor the production stages to ensure the products are manufactured within the due date.
- Analyze back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations.
- Communicate production status to internal team members and Customers on regular basis.
- Interacts with shop floor management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from Manufacturing, Customer Service and any other department
- Prepare and update monthly and weekly production schedules
- Prepare monthly production reports
- WorkCentre capacity planning
- Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
- Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Production/Manufacturing planning environment
- Good understanding and background of ERP & MRP
- Good communication skills; verbal and written skills in English are essential
- Knowledge of production operations / cycle of an industrial manufactured product
- Planning and analytical skills
- Team and coordination skills
- Knowledge of Lean six sigma
- Experience in any ERP software
- Material and capacity planning
