Job Description
The Department of [Geography and Urban Sustainability] seeks to make an appointment to an [Full Professor/Associate] Professor in [population Geography]. The position will be of interest to those with expertise in [human Geography , examination of the geographical dimension to human population, Social Statistics and Demography, spatial variation in population characteristics (fertility and mortality), population projections at national and regional scales, advanced modelling, simulation , clustering techniques, geo-demographics , the relation between demographic growth and resources, migration pattern and dynamics globally and locally.]

The role holder will be a member of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS). He/She will be recognized in his/her field, developing and maintaining a high-profile and will become a leading member of a dynamic, cutting edge research culture, having access to the excellent research facilities which UAEU offers. The faculty will have a vital role to play in the development and achievement of CHSS within the context of the strategic goals of UAEU, leading research and scholarship in his/her field.

The faculty is expected to lead on advanced, internationally excellent research, securing high impact research funding, to teach and to supervise at the undergraduate and graduate levels, to contribute to admissions, examining and assessment, and to contribute fully to academic administration in both the Department and the College.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
Candidates should have a PhD in [population Geography]. Duties involve teaching, conducting research, advising students and serving on dissertation committees. All teaching is delivered in English. Therefore, native or near-native English is required.
