Employment: Full Time

The premise of this position is to have responsibility of our Corporate Governance in Family Firms and Corporate Governance in MSMEs programme. The role is reporting to the Executive Director of the Pearl Initiative.

Role Responsibilities
• Responsibility for the concept design, development, planning, budgeting, negotiation, execution and delivery of collaborative action programmes.
• Responsible for collaborative action programmes by building networks of taskforce participants from the private sector, civil society, academia, international institutions and semi-government bodies.
• Establish actively engaged networks of business and other executives to actively engage in programmes.
• Design and implement research and survey methodologies to gather data and information for programme insight and publications.
• Identify, negotiate, reach agreements, and work with programme partner organisations and freelance resource required in areas such as training delivery, executive education, report design, writing and translation.
• Prepare required materials such as concept papers, agreements, programme work plans, marketing materials, full responsibility for the grant application processes to attain funding for new programmes.
• Design, develop and write case studies and thought leadership reports.
• Responsible for monitoring and evaluation of Programme Deliverables including design, plan and measure baseline, progress update, programme performance, impact assessment and KPIs for programmes.
• Work closely with the events team to develop the content, design, development, speaker preparation and session outcome reports for roundtable, forum and training events.
• Responsibility for reporting on a quarterly basis on KPIs, time allocation and budget.
• Establish strong relationships with stakeholders within the GCC.
• Regular travel within the GCC.

Requirements

• A University degree
• Comprehensive understanding of corporate governance and practices in the GCC
• At least 7 to 10 years of experience
• Advanced large-scale collaborative programme management skills
• Fluent in English, including perfect ability to write content in clear, structured and compelling English
• Proven report structuring and writing skills
• Excellent networking, communications, presentation, persuading and community building skills
• Must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of corporate governance, accountability and reporting business practices in the Middle East, especially in family firms and SMEs.
• Experience working with non-profit organisations an advantage.
• Business-focused research, data collection and analysis skills
• Must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of Project Delivery
• Experience within the non-profit and private sector combined would be beneficial
• Self-driven, motivated, resourceful, ability to anticipate and solve problems, persuasive and flexible in approach to work.
