Essential Roles and Responsibilities
• Reports to Project Manager and works under his direction.
• Manage the project control resources required to deliver a cross functional engineering project.
• Ensures that project controls processes are consistently applied across the project.
• Support the project manager with progress reporting including schedule updates, forecast to complete, variance identification and opportunities for improvement.
• Management of the PMC cost engineers and planners and
• Coordinate, Monitor and or oversee activities from Quantity Surveying team within the EPC contractors team
• Coordinate, Monitor PMC team, Licensors, EPC Contractor, Owner Operation/Site Interface Focal Person for the baseline schedule development, performance status and reporting, baseline change control, risk management, earned value management guidance and tools.
• Support PMC team, Licensors, EPC Contractor, Owner Operation/Site Interface Focal Person on programme integration, governance, formats, plan optimization, and project controls best practices.
• Support and advise PMC team, Licensors, EPC Contractor, Owner Operation/Site Interface Focal Person on the definition of Project Controls and Earned Value Management policies, procedures and the standards required to deliver projects.
• Ensure EPC Contractor’s and Licensors compliance to contractual obligations with respect to schedule and cost.
• Coordinate, Monitor PMC team, EPC Contractor, Owner Operation/Site Interface Focal Person for the baseline schedule development, performance status and reporting, baseline change control, risk management, earned value management guidance and tools.
• Ensure compliance on the application of effective planning techniques and controls
• Manages governance to ensure robust cost and schedule performance for the agreed Scope of Work across integrated
• Support PMC team, EPC Contractor, Owner Operation/Site Interface Focal Person on programme integration, governance, formats, plan optimisation, and project controls best practices.
• Support and advise PMC team, EPC Contractor, Owner Operation/Site Interface Focal Person on the definition of Project Controls and Earned Value Management policies, procedures and the standards required to deliver projects.
• Support and advise PMC team, EPC Contractor, Owner Operation/Site Interface Focal Person on the development of integrated master schedules for specific programmes in Primavera and/or Microsoft Project that reflect all interface milestones and activity durations from multiple contractors’ schedules and feed changes to the integrated master schedule.
• Ensure EPC Contractor’s compliance to contractual obligations with respect to schedule and cost.
• Ensuring the project controls team within PMC and EPC Contractor produce weekly / monthly reports in line with the project and owners reporting calendar, providing details on progress, actuals, forecast and explanation of variances.
Requirements:
B.S. or equivalent degree in Engineering from an accredited university, wide working knowledge of PMC flow of work, considerable engineering knowledge in large O&G Projects each in his specialty and and at least five (5) years in similar position in an engineering organisation.
