Project Control Officer - Real Estate

Job description / Role

We are seeking for a Projects Control Officer to be based in Abu Dhabi to support in the digital transformation of our project reporting ecosystem. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of project controls, business administration, data analytics, and digital systems integration, ensuring our reporting processes are accurate, streamlined, timely, and contributes to our digital improvement vision

The role involves integrating Primavera P6 EPPM with Power BI, managing the ongoing administration, automation, and optimization of Power BI reports, and supporting the integration of Power Apps and Microsoft Dataverse into a unified data environment.

o Lead the integration of Primavera P6 EPPM data with Power BI for automated project dashboards and KPIs.
o Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models connecting P6, Power Apps, and Dataverse.
o Ensure data accuracy, refresh efficiency, and performance optimization across reports and systems.
o Oversee the Power BI workspace, datasets, permissions, and user access.
o Maintain existing dashboards and develop new interactive dashboards and executive reports for projects; design, cost, and schedule performance, progress layouts using shapemaps/TopoJSON..etc.
o Implement row-level security, governance standards, and version control.
o Support the integration of Power Apps, Dataverse, and SharePoint into Power BI for workflow automation and analytics.
o Coordinate with IT and project teams to ensure seamless data synchronization across platforms.
o Identify manual reporting pain points and automate them using Power BI, Power Automate, or Power Apps.
o Recommend and implement best practices in data architecture, visualization, and governance
o Collaborate with IT, EPMO, development team, procurement team, project control team, and management to gather reporting requirements.
o Deliver training and documentation for internal users on Power BI dashboards and integrations.

o Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
o Certifications in data analytics or project management systems is an advantage.
o Advanced Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, administration).
o Primavera P6 EPPM integration, database structure, and data warehousing knowledge.
o Experience with Microsoft Power Platform – Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
o Strong proficiency in SQL, APIs, and ETL tools (Python or Azure Data Factory experience a plus).
o Familiarity with data governance, RLS, and data security frameworks.
o Knowledge of project controls concepts (schedule, cost, progress, and KPIs).
o Analytical mindset with a bias for automation and efficiency.
o Strong communication and documentation abilities.
o Able to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver under tight timelines.
o Minimum 4 years of experience in data analytics, project reporting, or digital transformation roles.
o At least 2 years of direct experience developing Power BI reports for the construction/real estate industry with experience in integrating Primavera P6 EPPM with Power BI.
o Proven track record in developing enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and managing Power BI environments.
o Prior experience in engineering, construction, or project management sectors is strongly preferred.
