General description of role and responsibilities:
Organize project review meetings, evaluate and report to the project director about project growth.
Plan management training and support.
Review and monitor standard WBS structure.
Review and monitor standard programme structure for Level 1, 2, and 3 programmes.
Review and monitor planning procedures and control.
Review and monitor monthly valuation programme reporting.
Review and validate the progress reports submitted by the contractor.
Claims management and extension of time delay analysis: proposing different methods such as window analysis and others.
Preparation and review of all tender programme submissions.
Establishment of a programme structure in conjunction with the development of the budget structure.
Establishment of four-weekly look-ahead programmes procedure for on-site project planner.
Establishment and maintenance of earned value reporting procedures, including measurement of Budgeted Cost of Work Scheduled (BCWS), Budgeted Cost of Work Performed (BCWP), and Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP).
Responsible for overall project deliverables and managing the constraints of the project (schedule, financials, customer requirements). Prepare weekly reports (dashboards) and monthly reports.
Responsible for process improvement drive including schedule and cost completeness, accuracy, on-time delivery, and cycle volatility.
Establish and maintain schedule and cost rhythm with project teams.
Communicate and report project management metrics to leadership regularly.
Coach and train employees in project management and control procedures while driving accountability for results.
Management of risks: manage the risk register, update it, and lead risk meetings; identify and mitigate project risks.
Drive the use of digitization strategy for project control process software systems and tools.
Coach and train employees in project management and control procedures for a mix of projects while driving accountability for results.
Interface with commercial and engineering functions to coordinate project development, implementation, and control, resulting in project volume and profitability.
Frequently identify and notify delays to the contractor.
Manage project records in coordination with the document controller.
Familiarize with relevant quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies, manuals, and procedures in place within the company, and ensure continued compliance with these requirements while employed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.
Qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or equivalent. Postgraduate education, such as an MSc, is highly desired.
- At least 15 years of experience in a similar role; extensive experience leading or executing project controls elements is required.
- Extensive knowledge of Primavera P6 is required.
- Possession of a PMP-SP (Project Management Professional - Scheduling Professional, PMI) certificate or a similar certificate is valued.
- Ability to think ahead, identify new opportunities, and create innovative approaches to work-related issues.
- Demonstrates a proactive attitude, determination, hardworking skills, a well-organized method of work, quick responsiveness to daily events, a desire to succeed, and a wish to progress.
- Excellent leadership skills to chair progress meetings.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
