Job description / Role

International Civil Engineering Business is seeking to appoint a Project Director to sit on a 800 Million AED awarded Project in Central Dubai. Our client are seen as being Tier 1 within the United Arab Emirates Market as they have 30 + Years having delivered large scale and complex civil engineering projects ranging from as small as 100 Million AED (Circa £20 Million) up to 2.1 Billion AED in Joint Venture Partnerships (£400 +).

These projects have ranged from iconic airport works such as terminals and runways through to highway works, large scale earthworks, rail & metro related work , power generation and industrial.

Our client is looking to appoint a Proven Project Director to handle a project based on site. The program is just under 2 years and workforce will peak at around 3500 Men on site. Our client wants someone that has experience in the GCC of handling testing clients whilst maintaining the most professional standards for the business. You will understand all aspects of delivery, technical, contracts and safety and you will be capable of leading a team of 200 Staff. You will understand of to motivate, drive and get the best from your people.

When it comes to Hard Money you will have experience of protecting contractual rights and have the ability to protect the business in a robust and fair manner against claims, EOT’s and delays. With your experience in the Middle East you will have the ability to navigate the speed bumps and see the clear picture for delivering a profitable and successful major civil engineering project. You will be able to hit the ground running making key relationships with both consultant and management team.

Salary:
AED 80,000 to 90,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Our client sees below as 100% essential:

- Post Graduate experience of 20 Years
- Minimum of 5 Years in the GCC or 1 Major Project of 600 Million AED Handed over start to finish
- Chartered status is desired
- Ability to start on site before the end of August 2018
- Western educated is preferred
- Only Contracting candidates with 80% exposure to this field will be suitable .
