Charterhouse is working exclusively with a global organisation which is renowned for producing industry leading B2B events and conferences. Our client is looking to hire a commercially minded Project Director who will not only be accountable for developing the company’s portfolio of strategic partnerships, but also designing and overseeing the overall commercial strategy for assigned events.

The main focus of this role will be geared towards creating commercially viable sales strategies which meet the needs of prospective clients and in turn drive new business and tangible results.

As Project Director there will be daily interaction with senior stakeholders and key decision makers across a wide array of industries, therefore our client is looking for an individual who can demonstrate excellent relationship building skills and who adopts a consultative, solution focused sales approach. In addition this role will take full ownership for the commercial performance of each assigned event and will lead a cross functional team including Marketing and Operations to guarantee successful event production and execution.

A background in building strategic corporate partnerships, or sponsorship sales would be highly advantageous. The ability to project manage cross functional teams, deliver on objectives within challenging deadlines alongside a track record of contributing towards significant commercial growth are key requirements to be considered for this opportunity.

Requirements

Our client is looking to recruit a commercially driven B2B sales professional with a minimum of 5 years industry related experience ideally within Events, Conferences or Exhibitions. Prior experience within Event Operations or Project Management are advantageous but not essential. A proven track record in nurturing strategic partnerships and developing confirmed new business verticals are key to being successful in this role.
