Project Engineer - Transportation

Job description / Role

- Develops Designs, associated Drawings, Reports and Technical and Materials Specifications.
- Provides solutions to complex design problems using both manual and computer methods
- Assists the Project Manager in obtaining Authority Approvals
- Supports and mentors Graduate and Project Engineers
- Applies initiative and experience to creatively solve non-standard design problems
- Ensures Quality Control and Standards are in place and maintained throughout all personal work output including calculations, designs, drawings, plans, estimates and reports
- Undertakes peer reviews to ensure others work is comprehensive and accurate and applies sound engineering principals and standards
- Maintains and Promote KEO Values personally, within Team and wider KEO Business
- Ensures Professional Standards, Ethics and Health and Safety are promoted, maintained and followed personally, within the Team and wider KEO Business

Requirements

You will have a demonstated experience in preparing a wide range of Transportation Impact Studies across the Gulf Region along with the following skills:
- Experience in Transportation Planning and Four Stage Modelling
- Excellent report writing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to innovatively solve a wide range of transportation problems
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Mentoring junior staff
- Experience using other Modelling Software Packages including: VISUM, VISSIM, TransCAD, SYNCHRO, Sidra and/or HCS
- Ability to use Microsoft office including Powerpoint and Project
- You will have worked as part of a multidisiplinary team providing transportation advice and solutions on large scale developments.
- You will have a degree in transporation or civil engineering with minimum of 4 years experience in a consultancy environment of which at least 3 were spent working on Gulf region projects. You will be a member of a transportation professional institution and working towards professional accreditation of either IEng, CEng or P.E.
