Project Engineer (Villas)

Job description / Role

Our Tier 1 Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a well experienced Civil Project Engineers to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on high profile new build villas, mansions and residential projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Project Engineer with good knowledge in high profile villa and residential projects in the UAE and working for recognised Main Contracting Companies previously.

This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee the structural design of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to determine project requirements and specifications.
• Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and stability of designs.
• Prepare detailed design drawings and specifications for construction.
• Review and approve sub-contractor and supplier submittals, including shop drawings and material samples.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during construction.
• Perform site visits and inspections to assess construction progress and quality.
• Identify and resolve design issues and conflicts in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in structural design.
• Mentor and train junior engineers to develop their technical skills and knowledge

Project Engineer Experience:

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related
• Experience: 8-10+ years in civil construction projects, ideally in major villa developments.
• Knowledge: Strong grasp of installation sequencing, QA/QC standards, and health & safety protocols.
• Expertise: Skilled in technical documentation, project coordination, and site leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.

Salary:
AED 12,000 to 18,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
