Job description / Role
- Must know local and regional design standards for wet services ahnd have a good knowledge on the local environmental regulations on wastewater discharge
- Must be able to take decisions on design aspects without supervision and be able to demonstrate ability to improve systems of work
- Liaise, negotiate and obtain NOCs from Authorities
- Accountable for project delivery on time
- Presenting/discussing/defending design work with Clients/Authorities.
- Must be able to coordinate with CAD operators
- Good knowledge of pressure networks is preferable (Potable, Firefighting and Irrigation Networks).
- Knowledge of open earth canal design is advantageous.
- Proficiency in the following software is required:
- AutoCAD, StormCAD, Windes (microdrainage), Hammer, SewerCAD, InfoWorks, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
- Knowledge of the following software is preferable: WaterGEMS, InfoWater, Civil 3D, Adobe Suite (In-Design, Photoshop), Visual Basic
Requirements
- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 3 - 5 years career experience with aBSc/BEng Civil Engineering as minimum, MEng Civil Engineering desirable.
- Member of a professional institution is preferable. Working towards chartership is desirable
