Project Finance Manager

Job description / Role

A very exciting opportunity has arisen in a small construction company in Dubai. This business is being managed by an Irish MD, with a passion for delivering a quality service.

We are searching for an experienced project accountant, looking to step up to a Finance Manager role, who will be with the company for the long term and shall see it through its ongoing growth.

Due to the urgency of the role, we are only shortlisting candidates who can join within 1 month’s notice.

Candidates should already be living in Dubai and should know how to navigate the FTA and other local nuances (banking etc).

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the MD
• Managing ALL the accounting from invoicing to P&L management
• Update and upgrade the current policies and procedures
• Responsible for P&L
• Implementation of Fixed Asset register
• Prepare initial budget, forecasts and business plans
• Provide relevant analysis and feedback to enable finalization of the budgets
• Monitor the cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity and timely collections from clients.
• Oversee taxes / VAT
• Manage banking relationships
• Oversee inventories and accounts receivable
• Prepare daily reports and data to top management about daily cashflow and daily takings.
• Prepare a three month rolling cash projection
• Prepare MIS and Dashboard reports
• Analyse, research and report on factors affecting/ influencing business performance.
• Handle year-end auditors

Requirements

• Qualified accountant preferred
• Construction / project related industry experience essential
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Commercially minded, all-rounder, strong in accounting
• Up to date with IFRS
