Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of a interior construction project. They will also manage and lead other members of the construction team. Responsible for the co-ordination and control of the project from the design stage, through to completion and the handover of the project to the client. Day to day management of operations on site, ensuring that the project is brought to a successful completion and meets the required time, budget and quality constraints. Ensuring timely management of any unforeseen delays. Regular monitoring and liaison with the Project Manager on the Master Programme and development of stage/section programmes as required. Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure adequate labor and sub-contract resource is available on site utilizing the agreed agency list. Carry out tool box briefings to the site teams and sub-contractors. Plan and efficiently organize the site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment on site is fit for purpose and only operated by appropriately trained staff Fulfill the role of Works Coordinator on the project. Requisition all materials, and oversee the deliveries and ensure they are done so in adequate time in line with the construction programme and procurement schedule.

Requirements

Education, Knowledge and Skills: Degree holder in Civil Engineering is desirable. Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant refurbishment/ fit out of residential, commercial and industrial properties. Recent experience working on large scale residential construction projects in the Middle East. Ability to manage contractors and contracts labour work force Effective team control and building of team spirit/culture The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior fit-out from first fix onwards Demonstrate an understanding of overall project requirements and the ability to advise client's knowledgably on overall project management issues Demonstrate effective leadership and high commitment in order to achieve goals Excellent communications skills; including report writing.
