Project Manager (Bridges and Structures Maintenance Project)

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Bridges & Structures Maintenance to lead and manage bridge and structural maintenance and construction projects for Al Ain Municipality. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, ensuring compliance with municipal standards, safety regulations, quality requirements, and approved budgets and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee bridges and structures maintenance projects from planning to completion.
• Ensure compliance with Al Ain Municipality, Abu Dhabi, and international engineering standards and codes.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation.
• Supervise inspections, rehabilitation, strengthening, and maintenance works for bridges and structural assets.
• Review and approve technical reports, method statements, designs, and maintenance strategies.
• Coordinate with municipality departments, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities.
• Manage contracts, variations, claims, and payment certifications.
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular progress and technical reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) requirements.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in bridges and structures maintenance and/or construction.
• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or municipal projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of bridge structures, concrete and steel structures, and maintenance methodologies.
• Experience in contract administration and FIDIC conditions.
• Proficiency in project management and scheduling tools (Primavera, MS Project, or similar).
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi / Al Ain Municipality standards is highly preferred.
• English is mandatory; Arabic is an advantage.
