Job description / Role
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects (high-end commercial and residential projects) according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
• Be completely versed in the firm/client contract for the project, and of the client's objectives.
• Analyze the project scope, the client's RFP and firm's proposal with the Project Architect. Organize the work on the project and set forth the procedures to be employed in accomplishing the project.
• Negotiate bids, proposals with consultants and subcontractors.
• Administer, estimate the project scope and the design budget.
• Develop and monitor the project design schedule to meet Client and firm time objectives.
• Keep the Client, the Head of Architecture and the firm Finance Department informed on the status of the project.
• Schedule personnel for site visits, when appropriate; coordinate field visits of construction representatives
• Develop and monitor the Client's construction budget and schedule. Identify long lead items and proposed form of construction contract as easily as possible.
• Attend project meetings, as necessary.
• Establish documentation and administrative organization for the project
• Arrange for preliminary construction estimates.
• Coordinate design presentations with the Project/Head of Architect
Requirements
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in similar role.
• Highly advanced analytical abilities with operational vision.
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree – Master’s preferred in Civil Engineering/ Architectural background.
• Must be PMP certified.
• Strong familiarity with project management software.
• Familiar with programming languages.
• Familiar with Quantity Surveying.
• Must be able to possess apt reporting.
• Excellent knowledge of the UAE Regulations.
• Candidates MUST currently be based in the UAE
