Job description / Role
Job Purpose
- Manage and supervise Project Scheduling and Planning as well as Cost Control Function within the Project.
- Provide input for developing execution strategies & plans to support the project teams in the project management for timely completion within approved budgets and in line with project objectives
Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)
- Manages and supervise project Controls, planning & scheduling and cost estimation and advice to Management and support project management teams during the project's life cycle.
- Ensure that the project meets the GVAP requirements and manage the activities related to GVAP, such as reporting and compliance. Ensure to support for VAP process during the project execution.
- Manage and guide the review of Contractor's Procedures specific to the Project and in relation to Planning/Scheduling, Progress Measurement, Contract Administration, Procurement, Vendor Management Sub-Contracts, Construction, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning and Hand over in compliance with the EPC Contracts. Secure approval of procedures for implementation and use on the Project.
- Manage Interfaces and Integration among different stakeholders, package's and phases of the project execution.
- Manage Risk Management, Management of Change to monitor and guidance to Management for Cost & Schedule impact during the project's life cycle.
- Manage and guide the review of Project Baseline Schedule to ensure compliance with the Contract Schedule requirements and the overall Project schedule.
- Instruct various reviews/analyses of the Project Schedule and the generation of special reports highlighting areas of slippage, concerns and forecasts.
- Manage and guide the process of Progress Certification and Invoice Payment under the EPC Contract.
- Manage and guide the process leading to the development, evaluation and approval of Variations to the EPC Contract in line with the Project Delegation of Authority.
- Ensure appropriate certificates are generated and maintained for the Project denoting approval of various Milestones and Completion Activities.
- Ensure that Certificates, Bonds, Guarantees and Insurances as required by the EPC Contract are submitted by EPC Contractor.
- Manage and guide the generation of IPMT Monthly Reports.
- Ensure appropriate input from IPMT on Accruals, Cash Flow Forecasts and Budgeting as may be required and ensure that reimbursable expenses are admissible and within the approved amounts
Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 2)
Ensure compliance with ADNOC policies and procedures in all areas impacting the business, including, HSE, operational, commercial, financial, administrative and HR practices.
- Ensure adherence to the legislative requirements of all countries where the Project operates. Maintain the highest ethical standards in dealing with all persons. Preserve loyalty by working for the exclusive benefit of ADNOC throughout the duration of the assignment.
- Support the rest of the Project Management Team and propose alternative courses of action, wherever possible, to facilitate efficient project progress. Participate in regular meetings to keep abreast of all issues relating to the Project. Discuss and review opportunities for the optimization of assigned work programmes.
- Manage and handle risk management related to the project. Includes maintaining the risk registers internally and with the contractors.
- Perform other similar or related duties as and when assigned by direct supervisor

- Manage and ensure implementation of detailed plans and strategies for the assigned project that will lead to effective and efficient achievement of all project objectives while managing activities of the team covering the project from initial phase to completion while ensuring compliance with Company HSE Policy for project activities.
Leadership
- Motivate, review and monitor the performance of the team which is formed from Company Projects Group, specialists and PMC personnel to ensure the effective implementation of the agreed Project Execution plan.
Budgets and Operational Plans
- Lead the development of schedule, cost estimate and budget for assigned project. Review and propose the same for Tender Board and Management endorsement/approval.
- Control and monitor the implementation of the total budget, schedule and quality at various stages of the project execution to ensure adherence to the overall approved plan.
JOB DESCRIPTION

Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Encourage innovation, enhance employee motivation and support initiatives for implementation of Change Management to continuously improve operations and services.
- Propose improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the assigned projects.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, systems & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines for assigned project in-line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
- Ensure adequate HSE training and induction for all sub-ordinates to meet HSE standards
Management Information Systems (MIS) and Reports
- Prepare all MIS and progress reports for assigned projects to provide accurate and timely reports and necessary information to Management to effectively manage the business
Internal Communications & Working Relationships
- Works closely with Project Management, Engineering, PMT Construction / Commissioning Team, and other related departments / divisions within UDR.
External Communications & Working Relationships
- Liaises with counterparts in and EPC Contractor
Requirements:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 15 years of experience including 5 years in a supervisory position in Project Planning & cost estimation/project management within the oil/gas industry
Professional Certifications
- PMP or AACE continued certification desirable but not mandatory

- Work Environment
Normally in air-conditioned environment and could be exposed to prevailing weather conditions during routine site walk downs. Will be required to use protective safety clothing or gear such as hard hats, masks, overalls, coats, gloves, boots, etc.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Experience in Change Control Function on Major Oil and Gas Projects.
- Understanding of Planning Function on Major Oil and Gas Projects
- Understanding of Cost Control Function and its relation with Schedule and Budget. Good knowledge of oil and gas extraction and processing plant operations, production engineering principles and project management.
- Good engineering and construction experience.
- Skills in Project Management software e.g. MS Project or Primavera.
- Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations.
- Knowledge of HSE / QMS procedures, principles and their relevant application to Oil & Gas industry
