Job description / Role
Our client is a leading European power utility company in the world who are currently seeking a Project Director for a prestigious project in UAE.
The project is a large-scale LED retrofit street lighting turnkey project with more than 40,000 points in the UAE. The scope of the contract includes design survey, procurement, construction, operation, maintenance and stakeholder management over a 10 years period.
The Work Manager will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and maintenance work as well as ensuring quality, health, safety and environment for the project. He will manage directly the Work Coordinators, the Commissioning and Maintenance Coordinator and an Administrative and QHSE coordinator. Reviewing and approving procedures related to installation, commissioning, maintenance and QHSE work. He is validating the completion of each milestone and reporting it to the Project Director.
The Works (Project) Manager will be directly responsible for respecting the planning to which he commits, and to which he will explain variations.
The Works (Project) Manager reports to the Project Director.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have an advanced technical or engineering training, with strong public lighting experience. The Works Manager candidate must perfectly know the functions of work coordinator and team manager, that the coordinates.
