Job description / Role
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager / Project Engineer to oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects and turnaround projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and ensuring project delivery within scope and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Scheduling:
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and milestones.
• Use tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, and AutoCAD for scheduling, resource management, and tracking project progress.
• Coordinate with different stakeholders to ensure timelines are met.
Cost Control & Budgeting:
• Develop project budgets and monitor project costs to ensure they stay within the approved budget.
• Implement cost-control strategies to minimize overruns and optimize resource utilization.
• Provide regular budget and cost performance reports to senior management.
Risk Management:
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure timely project delivery.
• Develop contingency plans to address potential project delays, cost overruns, or scope changes.
Scope Management:
• Ensure project deliverables align with the defined scope and objectives.
• Manage scope changes and communicate them effectively with stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management:
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular status updates and addressing issues promptly.
EPC & Turnaround Project Management:
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the successful execution of EPC projects.
• Coordinate and manage the execution of turnaround projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Manage project contracts in accordance with FIDIC guidelines, ensuring compliance with project terms.
Quality Assurance & Control:
• Ensure all project activities comply with quality standards and best practices.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure quality in project deliverables.
Reporting & Documentation:
• Prepare regular project status reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure proper documentation of project activities, changes, approvals, and issues.
Skills & Tools:
• Project Management Software: Primavera P6, MS Project
• Design Tools: AutoCAD (for design and review purposes)
• Methodologies & Standards: FIDIC, EPC Project Management, Turnaround Planning
• Core Skills: Project Scheduling, Cost Control, Budgeting, Risk Management, Stakeholder Communication, Scope Management, Project Reporting
Requirements:
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, etc.) or related field.
• PMP, PMI, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
Experience:
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in project management or engineering, with a proven track record in EPC and turnaround projects.
• Strong experience with project planning, scheduling, and cost control in large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience using Primavera P6 and MS Project for project planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Experience working with AutoCAD for project design review and coordination.
• Previous exposure to industrial or construction projects (oil & gas, power plants, manufacturing, etc.) is a plus.

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced knowledge of risk management strategies.
• Ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively manage client and stakeholder relationships.

• Experience in managing both long-term and short-term turnaround projects.
• Proficiency in other project management tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of international standards and regulations in construction and engineering projects.
Salary:
AED
17,000 to 25,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
