Project Manager (Roads and Transportation)

Job description / Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager specializing in Roads and Transportation to lead our infrastructure projects in the UAE. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of project management principles within the transportation sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project execution, managing teams, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of roads and transportation projects.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and community representatives.
- Implement project management methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues or delays proactively.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and quality standards throughout project lifecycle.
- Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies to safeguard against unforeseen challenges.
- Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience (13+ years) in managing roads and transportation projects.
- Strong understanding of project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with a focus on collaboration and communication.
- Demonstrable experience in budget management and financial reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of local transportation regulations and standards in the UAE.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
