Project Manager - Roads (British or US National)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our Roads division within our prestigious Engineering Consultancy firm based in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering, specifically in road infrastructure projects, and will be responsible for overseeing all phases of project development from conception through completion. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage road infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources, and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure project milestones are met.
• Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and changes.
• Utilize project management software and tools to track project performance and generate regular reports for upper management.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
• Ensure quality control throughout all project phases, performing inspections and audits as necessary.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and government authorities to foster collaboration and ensure project success.
• Mentor and guide junior project staff, providing training and support in project management practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to road construction and engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management within the civil engineering or construction industry, with a focus on road infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from concept to completion, with a clear understanding of project management methodologies.
• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Experience working in the Middle East or similar regions is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Proficient in project management software and tools, including Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
