Job Description

We are seeking a Project Manager for our Middle East and South Asia (MESA) thermal generation business who will build on the strong international foundation of projects and help us deliver the thermal generation projects specially in the advisory segment like project development studies, due diligence, technical transactional, lender's engineer.
The Project Manager will be joining an existing Global Thermal team, spread across many countries, at a time where we are pushing forward with our strategic growth plans which includes increasing market share in Advisory segment in Thermal power generation in the MESA Region.

- Will get to experience projects from conception to completion and will coordinate engineering inputs from initial assessment through to technical and economic feasibility, due diligence, construction monitoring and acceptance.
- Will be involved in the business development efforts towards increasing Mott MacDonald's visibility among the existing and potential stake holders of Region's Thermal power generation industry. You will be part of the business development team responsible to generate enquiries for the business, client engagement, and taking the assignments secured forward through contract execution to final delivery.
- Will also be involved in technical delivery of the project, leading the technical team, reviewing and preparing technical and non-technical reports including specifications, proposals, calculations, and project contracts.
- We work as an integrated, global network so you will get the chance to work alongside other industry-leading professionals as part of a multidisciplinary project team giving you an understanding of projects from different technology perspectives. We look for engineers with genuine curiosity and a deep understanding of solar projects.

Requirements

Candidate Specification

We are looking for following in the candidates applying for the role:

- A degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in mechanical
- Experience of working in areas of work as laid out above
- Experience working on large Integrated Water & Power Projects, preferably in Middle East
- Experience working with / for Government clients, lenders and project developers
- Having strong power generation project background with overall knowledge of all systems involved in the IWPP. Specialisation in "Process" will be an advantage
- Project management experience and a willingness to lead projects and teams driving the growth of this opportunity in our MESA region business
- A network of contacts and credibility you bring to our business in this area
- Proactive manner and independent worker
- Effective time and task management
- Excellent presentation skills - written and oral;
- Experience working with a consultancy will be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in international teams
- Travel is part of the role for project and client visits.
- Being able to assess situations in the context of the full business ecosystem
- Continuously looking for innovations and improvements to manage workload and accomplish deliverables across individuals, teams and projects
- Using leadership skills to build and nurture relationships and also creating effective working environments
- Able to manage multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse teams
