Role Overview

The Project Officer will support Project Managers in the development and implementation of strategic projects across the business. This includes assisting with project planning, process reviews and redesigns, solution development, and supporting issue resolution and escalation. The role also involves contributing to research, analysis, planning, and monitoring activities to ensure successful project delivery.

A key focus of the role is to support the growth and global expansion of Emirates' retail presence, including the opening of new and incremental stores. The Project Officer will play a critical role in delivering a tailored customer experience and enhancing the Emirates brand within retail environments. This includes the integration of new technologies, bespoke customer offerings, and a shift toward selling a complete customer experience rather than just tickets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, track and report on the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans for assigned projects.
  • Maintain register of compliance with endorsed project management methodology.
  • Lead change management processes as required.
  • Contribute to the development of project plans under the guidance of a Project Manager to develop future capability.
  • Research and analyze options in relation to business cases and project deliverables to guide optimal decision making.
  • Lead defined projects with the guidance of the Project Manager.
  • Undertake process mapping activities to understand current processes whilst identifying opportunities for process efficiencies to make recommendations for service.

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years' experience in general administration, preferably within a project-based environment.
  • Experience working on or supporting project teams.
  • Familiarity with PRINCE2 or PMP project methodologies (certification is a plus but not required).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and MS Project or other project scheduling software.
  • Ability to work independently and within team environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, troubleshoot, and meet short- and long-term deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget and financial management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, creativity, and analytical abilities.
