Project Planner / Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

The Project Planner will be responsible for creating and maintaining project schedules, coordinating timelines across departments, and ensuring adherence to project delivery targets. This role is essential for tracking progress, forecasting delays, and providing accurate reports to project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to define scope, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Track site progress and report deviations from the baseline schedule.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and site execution teams to align project timelines.
• Conduct critical path analysis, risk analysis, and delay impact assessment.
• Support in the preparation of extension of time (EOT) claims and project planning documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and provide insights to ensure smooth execution.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 3–5 years of relevant planning experience in construction (buildings, infrastructure, or industrial projects).
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and scheduling principles.
• Knowledge of baseline vs. actual tracking, S-curves, and EVM (Earned Value Management).
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• UAE experience is a plus.
