The Job Opportunity

To provide the contract with effective projects driven technical, analytical and administrative support for the designated Client sponsored project programme, ensuring timely delivery to deadlines and budget.

To oversee and provide Project support to the Project Manager and team including: tracking status of project deliverables and milestones; supporting the adoption of the project deliverables; project level risk and issue coordination; monitoring the status of projects; coordination of the regular project level reporting cycles; Post Project Reviews.

Additional responsibilities include the development and implementation of internal processes and management systems including best practice project planning processes and procedures; quality reviews ensuring project plans and project documentation are complete and up-to-date, with regular project status updates in a high quality effective and efficient manner.

Key accountabilities

- Support Contract wide approach to Project Management including preparing resource plans and the monitoring and reporting of project outcomes.
- Establish Department project reporting with a focus on value added advice and early identification and resolution of risk and issues.
- Support the Manager to develop, support and report integrated programme schedules, including planning related project reports and metrics
- Support facilitating projects from inception to completion with the purpose to develop and deliver project schedules and associated data.
- Accountable for managing the accuracy of data within project plans and associated documentation.
- Support the provision of project resource management, including development & management of scheduled project plans encompassing the entire project
- Liaise with all project stakeholders to determine project status and update plans in accordance with Serco processes.
- Liaise with staff across all functions/groups within the organisation who are assigned as work package and/or resource managers for the delivery of assigned projects.
- Captures all information relating to vendor Contract agreements, payment requests, and purchase orders, etc. promptly.
- Ensures that the policies and procedures laid down by management are followed accurately at all times.

Requirements

What we are looking for in our candidates

- Extensive experience in Project Management & Contract Management.
- Experience in organizing projects to develop and deliver project plans using best planning practice.
- Experience of working in a Programme Management Office - PMI, Prince2 or equivalent environment is preferable.

Specific requirements

- Relevant and recognised qualifications or experience in the discipline, or equivalent (Prince2, PMP, Scrum) is preferable.
- Excellent MS office skills - producing reports, analysing and creating metrics and data models, advanced experience with Excel and MS projects.
- Preferably a degree holder in a relevant discipline
- Knowledge of the property and facility management sector is preferable.
- Good verbal and written English language.
