Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Serco are currently seeking a Propositions and Solutions Development Analyst who will support the Propositions and Solution Manager. The main purpose of the role is to develop a portfolio of rich propositions (in collaboration with the Business Units, Business Development, Solutions Architects) that meet market needs, outperform competitor offerings, and deliver value for customers.

Reporting to the Proposition and Solution Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for;

- Analysing business unit requirements using appropriate methodologies - workshops, 1-2-1 stakeholder interviews, analysis of internal and external qualitative information and data, etc.
- Carrying out market and industry research to assess the need for our service offerings
- Carrying out competitor analysis and creating update reports to share across the Growth team
- Building and maintaining a detailed understanding of specific customer segments, including: customers (profile, type, and needs), markets, environment, competitors (product, pricing, strategies)
- Maintaining the project plan - for delivering each proposition; managing to time, scope, quality and budget and reporting on these at an agreed frequency
- Continuously monitoring market movements - trends, and competitor activity, feeding insights into propositions
- Collaborating with all internal departments - to conduct high-level potential impact assessments arising from development of 'ideas' and 'proposed' propositions, including additional resourcing and budget requirements
- Assisting the team in building bottom-up repeatable solutions - including the technology model, commercial model, staffing model and financial model. This will include managing mini projects and involvement in live bids
- Business Improvement - supporting the team to identify areas for improvement, conducting analysis and providing reports to help redesign existing services to ensure they meet/exceed the identified market need
- Updating the sales database and assisting in sales analytics
- Supporting customer pitches and presentations, by producing presentations and supporting data
- Engaging appropriate stakeholders and SMEs - at senior levels, in other functions (e.g. legal, finance or commercial), in other parts of the Serco Global business or in other organisations.
- Ensuring that that the proposition and its components are made available as widely as possible to Serco's global community, using appropriate knowledge management platforms, whilst also ensuring that key IP remains appropriately protected.
- Maintaining an appreciation of relevant existing and proposed regulations and industry guidance

Requirements

Essential qualifications;

- Bachelor's degree
- Project/Programme Management Skills

Essential experience;

- Bidding or business development

Preferable experience

- Business Analytics
- Undertaking market research
- Services Sector Experience
- GCC experience
