Public Area Attendant/Houseman

Job description / Role

The Public Areas include public bathrooms, lobby areas, corridors, and all indoor and outdoor areas in a hotel.

• Sweep and mop public area floors, clean/disinfect public area bathrooms to a high standard
• Empty garbage bins from the public areas daily & restock all cleaning supplies as required
• Cleaning of all public areas such as windows, corridors, lobby areas, public bathrooms, stairwells, pool areas, and all indoor and outdoor areas
• Carry out any other duties as instructed by the shift Supervisor/senior
• Meet and greet guests in a polite and friendly manner
• Keeping all lobbies and public area facilities such as lobby restrooms, telephone area, business center, and the front desk, and portico, lobby lounge in neat and clean conditions.

Salary:
AED 900 to 1,200 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Chemical and Cleaning machinery knowledge and experience
• Occupational Health & Safety Card (UAE accreditation)
• Understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Legislation and Standards in the UAE
• Housekeeping sequence of service skills
• Cleaning skills
• Laundry Skills
• Must have a strong comprehension of English
• Must have strong English-speaking skills
• Must have strong interpersonal skills
• Must hold strong customer service skills
• Must be a strong team player
• Must be able to build rapport with the customer
• Must be energetic and enthusiastic
• Must have excellent hygiene and grooming standards
• Must have the ability to deal with different customers
