Public Relation Officer - UAE National

Job description / Role

Our Client, a multinational law firm, is seeking a Public Relation Officer. The main focus of this role will be to arrange for visas, work permits and other related documents to assist the Firm and its employees within the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Renew, update and maintain all employees and their dependant's visas (including family members and domestic workers) and labour cards/contracts in a timely manner to ensure that company’s records are up-to-date in the Labour and Immigration departments;
• Submit, follow-up and collect all new employment and business visas to ensure that the visas are processed in a timely manner to support the business;
• Ensure accurate preparation of documents according to the requirement of the legal authorities maintaining confidentiality and security of company and employee documents at all times;
• Submit business visa applications to various embassies based in Dubai;
• Check and follow up the status of the on-going transactions submitted to government offices;
• Collect and provide periodical updates from the government authorities on all labour and immigration rules to keep the HR department abreast of the changes in the rules and procedures;
• Assist with Emiratsation matters, as needed, and arrange the submission of pension applications for all GCC nationals;
• Assist with other tasks as requested by HR Coordinator – visa and immigration.

Requirements

• Be a UAE national with family book;
• Have at least two years' experience as a Public Relations Officer;
• Have knowledge of government procedures in processing Trade License, Visas, Labor Applications and other government applications; and UAE Federal Laws;
• Be computer literate and will possess knowledge of IT systems, and government IT systems;
• Possess a high school degree at the minimum;
• Speak, read and write fluently in English and Arabic;
• Perform assigned duties in an efficient and accurate manner; analyze complex problems, evaluate alternatives and make creative and sound decisions and/or recommendations;
• Develop effective and collaborative working relationships with colleagues, superiors and those contracted;
• Be familiar with the following government bureaus:
- The Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation
- Department for Naturalization and Residence
- Embassies and Consulates
- Airports
- GPSSA
- Emirates ID Authority
