Purchase Assistant

Job description / Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery timelines
• Request and review quotations, compare prices, and prepare purchase analysis
• Create and process Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up with suppliers for confirmations
• Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure materials arrive on time
• Maintain and update supplier database, pricing lists, and order records
• Assist in negotiating prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions
• Communicate with the warehouse team to verify received materials and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare procurement reports, track purchase status, and maintain documentation
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards
• Support the Purchase Manager in daily tasks and procurement projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (experience in chemical or manufacturing industry is an advantage)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good knowledge of procurement processes and documentation
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in follow-ups
• Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus
