Job description / Role

• Determines inventory quantities and condition
• Monitors inventory movement and complete inventory transfer forms for bookkeeping and
• statistic purposes
• Prepares purchase orders and sends copies to suppliers and departments
• Keeps constantly apprised of economic / business situations within the Middle East as they
• affect purchasing operations and makes recommendations to adequately meet those
• changing conditions.
• Prepares, maintains, and reviews purchasing files, reports and price lists
• Analyses current procurement activities and recommends improvements through more
• efficient procurement methods, quantity discounts, standardization, value analysis and
• cooperative purchasing.
• Interviews current suppliers to assess and improve levels of service
• Searches new suppliers to develop and establish alternative sources of supply
• Collects and reports statistics to measure commodity and/or supplier performance
• Coordinates and resolves problems with departments and suppliers.
• Assists in resolving accounts payable invoice discrepancies and variances
• Organizes packing, shipping and receiving of shipments and transportation related
• discrepancies and variances
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required

Requirements

• Experience as purchaser in (Refrigeration/ ship building/ HVAC/ cold storage
• valid UAE driver license
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing/logistics within the GCC
• Age between 25 - 40
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
